1.1 All Admission and Progression into courses will be jointly decided by both BICPA Academy and ACCA. Satisfaction of admission requirements does not mean admission to the course selected.
1.2 Progression to the next level of study will depend on successful completion of the course studies, class attendance, conduct and exam result of students.
1.3 All registration of course / course packages can be booked by verbal or written. However, confirmation must be made with the payment of the course fee(s).
1.4 Students may have to adapt to a new course structure or changes of course if the course is no longer available. BICPA Academy will do its utmost to assist students wherever possible and will not be held accountable if options are rejected by the students.

2.1 BICPA Academy collects course fees in accordance to the fees structure stipulated in the latest Course Fee details. An administrative charge of B$100.00 will be levied on each late payment of the course fees. Fees are payable after the Student Application Form has been signed by the student. All applications must be accompanied with application fees.

2.2 The provision of the course is contingent upon BICPA Academy having received cleared funds from you or your sponsor (if you are a sponsored student) in respect of the Course fee. If any sum payable in respect of the Course Fee is not paid in cleared funds on or before
the due date, i.e. one week before course commenced, BICPA Academy reserves the right, forthwith and at BICPA Academy’s sole discretion, to suspend the provision to you and refuse you entry to the course.

2.3 If you are a sponsored student and your sponsor fails to pay the Course Fees, you will be liable to pay the Course Fees.

2.4 Any request for installment payment must be made in writing upon course registration and are subjected to the approval of the management of BICPA Academy. The approval is at the sole discretion of BICPA Academy.

2.5 Unless otherwise stated, the Course Fees excludes amounts payable to the professional body for student registration, exemptions and examination entries, which are payable by students separately and BICPA Academy accepts no responsibility for this. However, students can request BICPA Academy to assist on the payment on behalf. The conversion from GBP to BND will be carried out at a fixed rate at BICPA Academy's discretion, subject to revision based on the market rate, and any alterations will be promptly communicated to the students.

2.6 BICPA Academy reserves the right from time to time to change the amount of the Course Fee. In the unlikely event that due to a technical error, the amount of the Course Fee displayed on the Website or in the Brochure is incorrect, BICPA Academy will notify you as soon as it reasonably can. If the correct amount of the Course Fee is higher than displayed on the Website and/or in the Brochure then you will be given the opportunity to cancel your order or continue with the course by making the additional payment. If the Course Fee is lower than displayed on the Website and/or in the Brochure then you will be refunded the difference. Any refund will be made in accordance under
the Refund Policy.

2.7 Payments can be made by cash, Telegraphic Transfer (TT), Bank Transfer (BT) or by Cheque. For TT / BT / cheque payment, please indicate the full name of the student, IC number and the course applied for and Whatsapp to our office mobile line at 673 7248681 or email to admin@bicpabrunei.com.

2.8 Enrollment for the courses / course packages together with payment fee creates a binding agreement to follow the courses, as resources have been committed to the student for the duration of the programme package.

2.9 All students must read and understand the Refund / Withdrawal, Deferment Policy and Expulsion & Disciplinary Matters of BICPA Academy.

3.1 All applications for refund, withdrawal and deferment of course must be made in writing (either through letter or email) and are all subjected to the approval of the management of BICPA Academy. The approval is at the sole discretion of BICPA Academy.
3.2 For any withdrawal and deferment of course that are not made in writing will be considered payment made for the course registered.
3.3 BICPA Academy will process and inform the student of the outcome in writing within a time frame of not more than two (2) weeks from receipt of the student’s request via letter or email.
Refund / Withdrawal Policy
3.4 All discounts/rebates/waiver that the student was entitled to shall be forfeited and all outstanding fees have to be paid prior to withdrawal. This includes all non-tuition fees that were waived.
3.5 BICPA Academy will not entertain any request for refund, except if it falls under the following circumstances, subject to approval.
      1. It fails, for any reason, to commence course on the course commencement date;

      2. It terminates the course, for any reason, prior to the course commencement date;

      3. It fails, for any reason, to complete the course by the course completion date;

      4. It terminates the Course, for any reason, prior to course completion date;

      5. Any difference in course fee that was not informed to students reasonably in time.

3.6 BICPA Academy shall, within seven (7) working days of notifying the student in writing of above circumstances (1) to (5), provide the student with information and details of an alternative confirmed course arrangement to allow the student to make a timely and appropriate decision on the alternative arrangement.
3.7 All refunds shall be made within seven (7) working days from approval of the request.
Course Deferment Policy
3.8 All requests for course deferment must be made in writing and supported with application fees of B$20.00 which is non-refundable regardless of the application outcome. Students should send their requests for deferment one (1) week prior to the commencement of the course term that the student is deferring. All requests must be supported with documentary evidence.
3.9 Application submitted after the commencement of the term will be subjected to approval and additional fees may apply.
3.10 Students are allowed to defer up to a maximum period of one (1) year.
3.11 Students must settle all outstanding / overdue payment prior to the application of deferment. All subsequent instalments would follow the payment schedule of the new class the student is resuming in.
3.12 Deferment can be extended to another one (1) year with valid reasons, subject to approval.
3.13 All payment made that are deferred for two (2) years and more will be considered forfeited.
3.14 Approval for deferment is at the sole discretion of BICPA Academy. The institute will assess and inform the student of the outcome in writing within a time frame of not more than two (2) weeks from receipt of the student’s request.

4.1 BICPA Academy places a strong emphasis on moral character, education and professional skills development.
4.2 Students can be expelled for the following reasons:
       1. Poor attendance
       2. Cheating and Plagiarism
       3. Misconduct and Inappropriate behavior

5.1 All students will abide by the Classroom, Library & Computer facilities rules and regulations

6.1 BICPA Academy undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of the student’s personal particulars and not to disclose the information to any third party unless required for class registration with third party learning platform by law or other statutory regulations.
6.2 Student should not misuse or share the lecturer notes and/or any class recording (subject to management approval) with others. The lecturer notes and recording is solely for self-revision purpose only.

7.1 BICPA Academy reserves the right to charge late payment penalty on any sums that are due and payable by or on behalf of you, at a rate of 1% per month. The penalty fee shall accrue on a daily basis from the due date until the date of actual payment of the overdue amount.
You must pay BICPA Academy the penalty fee together with the overdue amount. 7.2 BICPA Academy reserves the right to recover any reasonable debt collection costs.
7.3 BICPA Academy may update or amend these Terms from time to time to comply with law or to meet its changing business requirements without notice to you. Any updates or amendments will be posted on the Website.
7.4 These Terms supersede any other terms and conditions previously published by BICPA Academy and any other representations or statements made by BICPA Academy to you, whether verbal, written or otherwise.
7.5 Students may not assign or sub-contract any of their rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party.
7.6 BICPA Academy may assign, transfer or sub-contract any of its rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party at its discretion.
7.7 No relaxation or delay by BICPA Academy in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall operate as waiver of that right or remedy or shall affect its ability to subsequently exercise that right or remedy. Any waiver must be agreed by BICPA Academy in writing.
7.8 If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, then that provision will (so far as it is invalid or unenforceable) be given no effect and will be deemed not to be included in this Agreement, but without invalidating any of the remaining provisions of this Agreement.
7.9 Any notices required to be served by BICPA Academy under these Terms will be deemed properly served if emailed to the email address, notified by Students to BICPA Academy, at BICPA Academy's discretion. A notice delivered personally is deemed to be given on the day on which it was left at the specified address. A notice sent by e-mail is deemed to be given on the day it was sent. A notice sent through mobile application is deemed to be given on the day it was sent.
7.10 Any notices required to be served on BICPA Academy by student will be deemed properly served if emailed to the email address and/or sent through mobile application, notified by BICPA Academy. 7.11 The agreement between student and BICPA Academy will be concluded in English only.
7.12 The agreement between student and BICPA Academy which is compromised in these Terms is not intended to be for the benefit of any third party, and shall not be exercised by any other person.
